A whale shark the size of a bus swims inches beneath me, just off the coast of Donsol in the Philippines.
Whale sharks are the largest fish in the world, and can grow up to 13 metres long.
But while they look intimidating, these gentle giants feed on plankton and pose no threat to humans.
Donsol is one of the best places in the world to see whale sharks, and there are excellent tour operators in the area who can get you close to these marine marvels.
