My name is David McComb. For the past 15 years I’ve travelled extensively – mostly in South America and Southeast Asia – always with a camera and notebook by my side.

I’m naturally drawn to the unusual, macabre and bizarre – and monkeys – and I’ve collected hundreds of stories and photos I’d like to share in this blog.
The aim of Posts from the Edge isn’t to showcase dangerous or daredevil trips – although there are times when things get scary.
It isn’t a platform to talk about places that are so remote that few people would want to follow in my footsteps – even though there are occasions when I go totally off the map.
The idea is to show how a little imagination, research and planning can help you discover the curious and offbeat in unexpected places, and to inspire others to choose the road less travelled.
