Although Ubud is most famous as Bali’s cultural hub, it has another attraction that keeps me coming back year after year – the glorious Mandala Suci Wenara Wana or Monkey Forest.
The forest is a sanctuary for wild macaques, which live in and around ancient temples with elaborate stone carvings.
The monkeys in Ubud are cheeky and comfortable around human visitors, and it’s fun to watch them and take photos.
