The Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia is the world’s largest salt flat.
When the conditions are right, it acts like an enormous mirror and the horizon seems to disappear.
It’s a magical and surreal place.
I visited the Salar de Uyuni as part of an epic tour that set off from the city of Uyuni, crossed high through the mountains, and ended up at the salt flats.
Bolivia boasts some of the most dramatic landscapes and natural wonders in South America, and I hope my travels take me back there one day.
