Cambodia, Angkor Wat

A St Andrew’s cross spider spins an intriguing web in the Angkor temple complex, Cambodia.

St Andrew’s cross spiders are typically large and have a strikingly coloured abdomen.

These spiders are found in tropical or temperate climates around the world, but I’d never seen one before.

Imagine my surprise when I saw a spider spinning a perfect cross in magical Angkor Wat!
