A vendor carries dozens of inflatable balls through the streets of Antigua, Guatemala, during the annual Easter parades.
The biggest holiday in Guatemala is Easter and the week preceeding Easter, Semana Santa.
Hundreds of thousands of visitors descend on the colonial town of Antigua to be a part of the festivities.
It’s a fun and fascinating experience, and I’ll post pictures of the parade’s enormous floats and costumed marchers another time.
Of course, vendors across Guatemala see the parades as an opportunity to make cash, and flock to Antigua.
As the streets are packed, it’s impossible for cars to reach the city centre – so vendors have to carry their wares into town.
