A wall of memorials to the dead in a hillside graveyard in Hong Kong.
After hiking along the beautiful Dragon’s Back trail at Shek O on Hong Kong Island, we decided to take a short cut to the nearest town.
We discovered a hidden path through a hillside forest, where locals had tied ropes to help them descend the steep slope.
When we emerged from the trees, we were surrounded on all sides by thousands of beautifully maintained graves.
It was like stumbling into a city of the dead.
There were hundreds of fascinating tombs, and I wish I’d had more time to take photos.
