I got extraordinarily close to a family of silver leafed monkeys on the beach at Bako.
Unlike other primates they’re incredible chilled, and pretty much ignored me as I furiously snapped away.
Bako National Park features a series of – rather rundown – cottages, and if you stay there overnight you can see the jungle come to life as the sun rises.
It’s a magical experience.
