A tunnel of books at the Municipal Library in Prague, Czech Republic.
This artwork – titled Idiom – was created by Slovakian-born sculptor and artist, Matej Kren.
Since its installation in 1998, Ididom has earned many nicknames, including the Book Tunnel, Book Wormhole and Book Vortex.
The sculpture uses mirrors to create the illusion that you’re looking into an endless vortex of books.
Prague is packed with interesting things to see and do, but be prepared to be frustrated when viewing Idiom.
Although most tourists politely queue to take their turn peering into the tunnel, others are unbelievably rude and will simply push to the front!
